Register car insurance policies for different countries and link them to government organizations.

A few years ago, Fenêtre developed the Fleet Management Tool for AIG Luxembourg. This tool keeps track of customer policies and vehicle data. Via a link with the Luxembourg government, authorities such as the police can check vehicle insurance. When the desire arose to expand the application to the Netherlands and Belgium, AIG approached Fenêtre again to renew and scale up the application.

In the original fleet management tool, a link was made with the Luxembourg government system. Authorities use this data to check whether a vehicle is insured, for example during roadside checks by the police. In order to expand this system to the Netherlands and Belgium, links were created with the RDW and FCGB-BGWF

Solutions

Cleanse and convert historical data

Data was spread across different systems, which over time had caused quite a bit of pollution to build up, as such the data was not immediately usable. Information manually entered by end users, such as the make and model of a vehicle, had to be checked and corrected where necessary before it could be used in the fleet management tool. The data was first cleaned up and then converted to new structured data for use in the application.

Perfect fit with AIG processes

The fleet management tool was developed on the Silicon Low Code platform to seamlessly connect to AIG's processes. Various processes have been implemented within the application.

1. Importing large Excel files and automatically generating thousands of documents in the background, such as the well-known green cards.
2. Within the application, users have different roles and rights that match the work per department. All changes are logged, so AIG can always see who has changed what and when.
3. Business rules have been recorded in the fleet management tool per country. The deviations between policy and vehicle rules in the various countries are defined in this way.
4. Vehicles can, where necessary, be collected and collected separately for a policy.

Result

  • Complied with the compliance requirements of AIG and governments.
  • Application has been expanded and modernized and can now be used for the Netherlands and Belgium in addition to Luxembourg.
  • Good working relationship for many years.
  • International fleet management application.
