Linking Nationale Nederlanden with e-ABS

Nationale Nederlanden is a financial services provider offering products and services to over 6 million customers in the Netherlands. Both private and business customers can find insurance, pensions, and banking services. Nationale-Nederlanden is part of NN Group, an international organization with over 175 years of history and operations in 11 countries.

Nationale Nederlanden

Connection with e-ABS for an optimally automated process.

Part of Nationale Nederlanden's work involves processing policy bookings, claim bookings, and (damage) claims from e-ABS, an integrated online system where brokers, insurers, experts, and soon lawyers, communicate and exchange data.

Previously, e-ABS data was transferred to internal SAP systems, requiring extensive manual effort.

Fenêtre, in collaboration with Nationale Nederlanden, established a Straight Through Processing system to automate this process. This project involved close collaboration with the internal business and IT departments, from defining the files to testing and implementing the solution. This approach ensured optimal results.

Requirements and solutions

  • Link between e-ABS and the Nationale-Nederlanden system

The updated data from the e-ABS is prepared daily, and NN then retrieves the data via a secure download. An automatic upload sends the data to the various systems within Nationale Nederlanden. The process is now much more efficient, the turnaround time has been reduced, and the automatic data transfer prevents many errors.

Result

  • From manual data processing to fully STP
  • Performed using the Agile method
  • Pleasant and intensive collaboration with NN
  • Completed within the budget allocated
